Hello, My mom is taking me, my husband, and three children (ages 5,10, 11) and my brother, sist-in-law and family (ages 2, 4) on Disney Magic on Dec 24th. Just wondering if there will be anything special recognizing Christmas Day on the ship.

    Hi, Stephanie!

This holiday season, you're going to experience a "nautical and nice" Christmas on your cruise on the Disney Magic -- all decked to the “raft-ers” with holiday cheer! The spirit of the season will surround you the moment your gang arrives at the Disney Cruise Line terminal in Port Canaveral with festive decorations and Disney characters in their finest holiday attire welcoming guests.

    Special stem-to-stern holiday events include:
    • Nightly “King Triton’s Tree Lighting” in the atrium lobby
    • Family holiday crafts -- decorating stockings, building gingerbread houses & making cards
    • Holiday storytellers sharing tales of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa
    • Traditional holiday feasts in the themed dining rooms

When the Disney Magic stops at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas Castaway Cay, during the holidays, the celebration continues with “snow flurries,” decked-out Christmas trees, Disney character meet-and-greets, holiday carolers, and holiday-themed activities and crafts for children.

Activities throughout the day include holiday crafts for youngsters, and the big NFL football games broadcast live on the ships’ outdoor, jumbo LED screens – located near the Goofy’s family pool on Deck 9. On Christmas morning at the atrium lobby tree, Santa Claus and his elves will have surprises for all the kids, along with cookies and milk. Christmas services will be held on Christmas Day with a midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Hanukkah services will be held each day, Dec. 20-28.

I hope this helps you plan and gets you even more excited about your upcoming Christmas cruise aboard the Disney Magic! Let me know if you have any more questions. Have a wonderful day, a magical vacation and a blessed holiday season. Bon voyage!
