Hello, My husband and I are taking our kids to Disneyland for Mother's Day! Are you guys by chance having any special "Mother's Day" related events? Also, when will the "River's of America" open? Thank you!

    Dear Abrianna,
The great thing about visiting the Disneyland Resort is that no matter what holiday or special celebration is going on, the Happiest Place on Earth is sure to commemorate important occasions one way or another, and Mother's Day is no exception!
Typically, guests can enjoy a selection of special Mother's Day menu items at select restaurants throughout the resort.
I know the Blue Bayou has featured special entrees in the past and we can probably expect the same in 2017.
So far, the Disney Parks Blog has not officially announced Mother's Day offerings but you can find out what will be on the menu by calling the dining reservations line at (714) 781-DINE.
Here are a few of my own suggestions to celebrate Mother's Day at the Disneyland Resort:
If you're at the Disneyland Park:
*Treat your mom (or yourself) to a new perfume at Mademoiselle Antoinette's Parfumerie in New Orleans Square. The shop is lovely and offers exquisite fragrances.
*Stop by Minnie's House and take a multi-generational photo with Minnie Mouse! Her house has a gorgeous front yard with plenty of flowers like beautiful hydrangeas sure to delight mom and grandma!
*Stop by the Crystal Arts shop on Main Street U.S.A. for a beautiful crystal memento. One of my favorites is a figurine of an enchanted red rose inside a glass cloche!
    ChEARs!
