Hiya, Valerie!
Thank you for sending this question to us hEAR at planDisney! On behalf of all of my
panel pals, please thank your Husband for his service to our country!
I'm a military spouse too, and my family has enjoyed these special
3 and 4-day Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets for yEARs. Sometimes known as the 'Disney Salute' tickets, I am so thankful that Walt's love of service and country continues today. Another tradition that is alive and well is the
daily flag retreat ceremony in
Disneyland Park. It's 15 minutes of patriotic songs featuring the Disneyland Band and the
Dapper Dans that turns a simple chore into a magical moment for sure!
I'm so sorry to report that you'll need to purchase your military tickets ahead of your arrival. One of the pandemic procedures upon the reopening from the historic closure of The Happiest Place on Earth was that
Theme Park Admission Ticket sales were highly encouraged as online or
in-app only. This was partly because of the need for
Park Pass Reservations which might not be available same-day, but also to limit in-person interactions for the Cast Members in the Ticket Booths. Sadly it meant that the
Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets could only be purchased from a Military Ticket Office on a base/post for the foreseeable future, of which we still don't have an end time frame. I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to peek inside your
My Disneyland Account to see where you're currently stationed, Valerie, but your best bet will be to call around installations in your area to see if they carry Disneyland tickets before you drive over there. If you can't find a location near you that sells these tickets, there are several bases in the SoCal area that carry them, including LA AFB, March ARB, and Navy Base San Diego. Camp Pendleton not only sells these tickets in person, it's rumored that if you call their ITT office, they might be able to complete your sale and issue your tickets over the phone. Once you've acquired your tickets, you'll be able to upload them to your account where you can then make your Park Pass Reservations.
I'm so sorry this wasn't the answer you were looking for, Valerie. I too miss the "old days" of three yEARs ago when everyone could impulsively show up at the parks. But hopefully this answer will help you plan some upcoming Disney Days! Be sure to check out the
official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more
