Hello, My husband is a disabled veteran and has been diagnosed with PTSD. In the past we were able to get a DAS pass due to his struggles with waiting in crowds. Does he still meet requirements for the DAS pass?

Hi Kristen, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for your question about eligibility for Disability Access Service at Walt Disney World Resort. Before we dive into answering your question, let me start by thanking your husband for his military service. The Walt Disney Company has a long history of honoring military service members and their families, and I'm glad that you and your family have enjoyed previous vacations to Walt Disney World. Did you know there are special discounts on tickets and hotels for eligible active and retired military personnel in 2026?

Kristen, Disability Access Service (DAS) eligibility is valid for one year or the length of the admission ticket, whichever is shorter. If that time period has elapsed or the previous ticket has been used, your husband will need to re-register. He may register via live video chat and speak with a Cast Member to determine eligibility up to 60 days in advance of your visit. During the call you can expect to discuss recommended services with the Cast Member.

Here are some important things to know before the live video chat:
    • Live video chat is available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
    • The recording of this video chat is strictly prohibited.
    • The Guest requesting DAS must be 18 years of age or older to register.
    • The Guest for whom DAS is being requested must be present during the video chat.
    • If you’re not logged in to the Walt Disney World website, you’ll be prompted to log in.
    • If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one before continuing.
    • If you don’t have valid theme park admission, you’ll need to link valid theme park admission for each member of your party.
    • Guests using a mobile device or tablet will need to download the Zoom application to connect to the video chat.
    • Video chat is screen reader-friendly for Guests with visual disabilities and available with text chat for Guests with hearing disabilities.
    • At this time, live chat is offered in English only.
If you have any additional questions about DAS, you can check out the Frequently Asked Questions, email a Cast Member at Disability Services, or ask a panelist right here at planDisney! I hope you have a wonderful vacation!

    Stay magical,
    Scott
