Hello My five year old son and I are traveling in January on the Disney Dream then off to Walt Disney World. We are flying in via Air Canada, and I was wondering if we will have to retrieve our own luggage since it isn't considered domestic? Thanks!

    Welcome Aboard, Ashley!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help!

Since you're an International Guest, you'll need to claim your luggage and clear customs and immigration upon your arrival in Orlando. Once you've cleared customs, your bags will be returned to the main baggage area. If you've booked ground transfers with Disney Cruise Line, they will then collect your luggage and deliver it directly to your stateroom on the Disney Dream! It really is a very seamless process, and usually goes quite smoothly. Make sure to pack a day bag with any essentials you'll need: cruise documents, identification, swimsuits and medication, since you won't see your bags again until later in the afternoon, once you board the ship.

Once you've cleared customs, follow the signage to Level One, Side B to find the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center. A spacious Disney motorcoach will be waiting to take you to the port!

I hope this helps with your planning. You and your little buccaneer are in for the time of your lives on the beautiful Disney Dream!
