Hello, My Fiance and I will be taking our 2 daughters (9 & 5) in July of this year to Disney World. Staying 3-4 days.....first time going! What is best to do, and what is best to pass???

    Hi Louie!

How wonderful to hear you are planning your family's first Walt Disney World vacation. You must be so excited!

With a 3-4 day trip, I recommend only visiting a couple of the theme parks. This way you won't feel too overwhelmed and will still be able to leave some unplanned time for the unexpected magic. Magic Kingdom Park should definitely be a top priority. This park has some of our favorites, like Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Wishes nighttime spectacular. Honestly, we love them all. As a second park, I would probably choose Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo - The Musical are incredible and there are also exciting rides like: Kilimanjaro Safaris, Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest.

I would also recommend purchasing Disney's Memory MakerYou'll be making plenty of first time Disney memories on this trip and with the help of Disney PhotoPass photographers and Memory Maker, you can capture and save them all.

Disney dining is another of my favorite planning topics, so if I can offer you any suggestions with it or help you with anything else, please let me know, Louie.

    Enjoy planning your magical vacation.

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
