Hello, My family and I had the most wonderful Disneyland trip in January and now I am planning another one. I'm limited as to when I can visit due to work commitments but was wondering what the crowds and weather are like in April around Easter time?

Hello there, Pamela! Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad to hear that you had a fantastic trip earlier this year. I know exactly what you mean—once you experience that Disneyland magic, you just can't wait to come back! I'm absolutely delighted to help you map out your springtime adventure!

Let’s chat about your next visit (which can’t come soon enough!). Springtime at the Disneyland Resort is like watching the parks put on their most colorful attire. Imagine vibrant flowers blooming, the sweet scent of popcorn mixing with fresh blossoms on Main Street, U.S.A., and that cheerful energy buzzing all around like happy little bees around Pooh's “hunny" pot. I was just there last weekend and experienced it all—and I'm happy to share that it was simply magical!

Now, let's talk about sunshine and starry nights, Pamela! Weather-wise, April often rolls out the golden carpet with daytime temperatures cozying up in the mid-to-upper 70s (°F) (that's around 22.2°C–24.4°C for our international friends)—simply perfect for conquering mountains (like the Matterhorn or Space Mountain!) or exploring galaxies far, far away. When the stars come out for the evening parades and fireworks, things can get a little brisk. Temps often dip into the 50s (°F) (about 10°C–12°C), making you glad you packed those layers for enjoying the breathtaking nighttime spectaculars!

That's exactly why I’m happy to share my top tip for being prepared like a trusty Mouseketeer! Packing layers—maybe a Spirit Jersey, a light jacket, or a cozy sweatshirt—means you can easily add or remove a touch of warmth as you journey from sunny Fantasyland rides to cool evening celebrations. And don't forget your trusty sunscreen to protect you from that bright California sunshine! Should you find yourself needing an extra layer (or just succumbing to the siren song of souvenirs!), shops like the Emporium and Elias & Co. have you covered!

Now, for the popular question: Who else will be joining the springtime celebration? Predicting crowd levels is a bit like trying to guess which way the Mad Hatter will turn next—always an adventure! April is a popular time, as many young Padawans and princesses-in-training are enjoying their spring school breaks. The happy news is that these breaks are often scattered across different weeks—this helps ensure there's plenty of magic to go around! While pinpointing precise crowd numbers in advance is always tricky, a quick online search for California school spring break schedules can help you anticipate busier travel dates. This helpful FAQ on the best times to visit the Disneyland Resort is also an awesome resource, offering excellent tips to help you make the most of your magical days.

Well, Pamela, consider your planning map sprinkled with a little springtime insight! I hope this helps you feel even more excited for the colorful adventure ahead. May your visit be as bright and cheerful as those Disneyland flowerbeds in April! Remember, if any more questions flutter by like butterflies while you're planning, send them right over to your pals here at planDisney. Have a magical day!
