Hi Karina!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and for sending us your great questions about Disney Character Dining!

You can absolutely enjoy Character Dining even if you are not staying within Walt Disney World Resort property. There are Character Dining experiences offered at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and at Disney Resort hotels.

It is highly recommended that you make dining reservations for Character Dining experiences. You will be able to access the Character Dining restaurants within the Disney Resort hotels by providing the security guards located at the security booths outside of the parking lots with your reservation number and/or name. Doing so will allow you to park for free and access the Resort hotel. If you choose to experience Character Dining within the theme parks, you will need a valid theme park ticket in order to access the park and the Restaurant.

Quick Tip: In order to make advance dining reservations for the Character Dining experience of your choice, please log into your My Disney Experience account of dial (407) WDW-DINE, (407) 939-3463. For a full list of Disney Character Dining venues, please click on the link.
