Hi Danielle,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! Let me offer you some thoughts on which theme parks to visit on your first trip.
I suggest that first-time guests to Walt Disney World visit
Magic Kingdom. It was the first Disney theme park in Florida, and the one that most guests associate with Walt Disney World. With the iconic Cinderella Castle and so many classic and new attractions from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Magic Kingdom is a must-do theme park for my family!
After this, I think that the second theme park you visit will depend a lot on your traveling party. Disney's Hollywood Studios is the headquarters for all things Star Wars and Disney Junior, so if anyone is your traveling party is very into either Star Wars or Disney Junior, a visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios is in order. If you are traveling with animal lovers, a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is a great idea, with so many exotic animals to see from safari vehicles and walking. Finally, if you are interested in exploring the world in an afternoon, head to Epcot and walk the World Showcase. If my family is choosing a second park, we will often choose Epcot - but that's just our opinion!
In order to help you make this decision, I suggest that you watch the
Walt Disney World planning video. This will give you a taste of each of the four theme parks to see what is most appealing to your traveling party.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Danielle! Please do let us know if you need any more assistance in planning your first Walt Disney World vacation.
