Hi, Nicole!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m glad to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. There’s so much limited-time magic to enjoy this summer with
Pixar Fest in full swing! I visited the
Disneyland Resort theme parks during various stages of pregnancy with both of my little ones and was able to enjoy many attractions safely and comfortably.
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how many attractions you’re able to experience as a pregnant mom-- I know I was when I was expecting! However, there are a handful of thrill rides in each theme park that pregnant women are advised to avoid. Try visiting the Disneyland Resort website’s
Attractions page and select the Expectant Mothers Advisory box under the Accessibility & Advisories tab. This will generate a list of attractions you should not ride while pregnant in the interest of your and your baby’s safety.
When I was pregnant and exploring the theme parks, it was necessary to build some downtime into our touring plan. Be sure to take breaks to enjoy a cold drink and snack in a shady spot. A grand circle tour on the Disneyland Railroad offers about 20 minutes of shade and fresh air, with the added benefit of a relaxing, scenic trip around the park from the comfort of your seat! You can also ask for a free cup of ice water at any quick-service restaurant to prevent dehydration and combat any swelling from the time spent on your feet.
I hope this information is helpful, Nicole! Please don’t hesitate to stop by again with more questions as your pixie-dusted vacation draws near. We'd love to help you plan!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
