Hello..My family will be staying at the AoA end Sept-Oct. Is there a grocery delivery service available. I have a very picky 4 year old and would love to have his snacks available for his first disney trip :) Thank you!!

Hi Charles! Traveling with children and keeping them happy with new foods in new places can be challenging. There is a grocery delivery service that I use quite often when traveling to Walt Disney World. You can look them up on line at gardengrocer.com. They offer resort delivery to all Disney owned properties.

You will be asked to register with them on line and then your fun begins. Choose the date you wish the groceries to be delivered and then take time to hunt through the many categories of foods and non food items they have available. There will be a $50 minimum but honestly it doesn't take much to hit that when spending time at Disney. Consider purchasing things like sun screen and water along with your foods. Try to keep the perishables to a minimum as the refrigerators are not large and not always as cool as you would have yours at home. Right now they are going through and replacing many resort refrigerators due to issues so be sure and check with Art of Animation about the timing of this being done at that resort.

You do not have to be in the room to receive your delivery. They will deliver to the resort and they will store it for you keeping the perishables safe until your return. When you set your delivery date you will also be asked to set up a time so if you know your plans that day you can work around your schedule. The bell staff will be glad to deliver to your room when you notify them.

Enjoy the ease of having food right in your room. Just a word of caution....be careful when ordering and read carefully what you are putting in your cart. I once accidentally ordered ten pounds of bananas thinking I had just ordered ten bananas for our entire visit! I am sure everyone thought a family of primates was checking in! And don't forget the resort also has a store where you can pick up some staple food items!
