Hi Norah,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.
The answer to your question is… it depends! As a fellow Canadian, I can’t get my
MagicBands shipped to me, either. I’ve stayed “offsite” for a few days before checking in to my Walt Disney World Resort hotel and there have been times when my MagicBands were already waiting for me at the Resort’s front desk and I was able to pick them up and use them right away. Other times, however, the MagicBands only arrived the day that I actually checked in and I wasn’t able to pick them up early.
My suggestion would be to go into your
My Disney Experience account and set up the shipping address so that they get sent to the first hotel at which you’ll be staying when you arrive in Central Florida. They can be shipped to any United States address, so that should do the trick if you’d like to be able to use them early.
Please bear in mind that, even if you are able to pick up your MagicBands early, any tickets or other entitlements that are linked to a vacation package that you might have purchased, such as Disney Dining Plan entitlements, will only be active the day that you actually check in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
I hope my answer helps you plan your vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
