Hello, My family of 4 (2sons 8, 11) and mother are planning our 1st trip for DW in April 2013. Where should we stay? Sons like the waterslides at Mod resorts but everyone recom. the AOA family suites. Convenience is key too. Is PO or Carribean better?

    Hi Jennifer!

This is a very hard question.  It really depends on the guest and exactly what he or she is looking for.  The new Art of Animation Resort is fabulous and it does have a great pool and the best food court in Walt Disney World. However, it doesn't have a water slide if that is important for the family; it is important for my children.

With regards to convenience, I'm not really sure any Disney Value Resort or Disney Moderate Resort is that much more convenient than another.  Some of the Disney Deluxe Resorts do have great or convenient locations but that's about it; you can actually walk to some theme parks from the various Disney Deluxe Resorts.

Personally I prefer Port Orleans Riverside or any other Disney Moderate Resort.  I love the theming and the boat service to Downtown Disney.  It is large and spread out but not as spread out as most of the other Disney Moderate Resorts; the only resort smaller than Port Orleans Riverside is Port Orleans French Quarter.

The Family Suites are a huge plus if you need to keep everybody within the same room; otherwise another option is to just get two standard connecting rooms at a resort.

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
