Hello, My family and I will be returning for a short visit to Disney World next month. We have purchased a 2day base tickets but we are wondering if I can upgrade 1 of the 2-day tickets to a park Hopper ticket (animal kingdom then H.Studio in the evening).

Well hello there, Anne Margareth! As José from Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room would say, "My siestas are getting shorter and shorter!" But that's okay, I love to answer Guest questions...so let's put on the show!

Your question can be interpreted in a few different ways so I hope you don't mind me answering in each possible way to ensure I'm giving you the answer you need! If you purchased theme park tickets only, and you are asking to upgrade 1 person's 2-day theme park ticket, you can usually do so through your My Disney Experience account. To do this, log into your account, click on "My Plans" under the My Disney Experience menu, and scroll down until you see the blue "Tickets and Memory Maker" link under the "My Plans, Reservation and Tickets" heading. Find the Guest's ticket that you'd like to change and see if there is a change option. If there is, follow the prompts to upgrade this ticket. If there isn't, you'd have to call the Existing Tickets line at the resort. If you purchased a vacation package (theme park tickets and a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation booked together), all Guests staying in the room must have the same ticket type so you would not be able to change just one Guest. And finally, if you want to upgrade to the Park Hopper Option, you have to upgrade the entire length of the ticket as it's currently not an option to upgrade just 1 of the days on the ticket.

If you're an early riser and want to get as much done in a day as possible, your plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park first and then Disney's Hollywood Studios is a great one. Usually, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park opens the earliest of the four theme parks but also closes the earliest. If you travel there in the morning, go to a few attractions and enjoy a few shows. Then when you're ready, immerse yourself in some of your favorite movies at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's a great strategy to maximize your time. And if you really want to maximize your time, look into purchasing the Disney Genie+ Service, where you can reserve Lightning Lanes for select attractions to access a shorter wait.

Anne Margareth, you're going to have a great time at the resort. If you have any other questions, please reach out to me.

    Welcome to our tropical hideaway,
    Matt
