Hello, My family and I are planning a vacation to Disney World in December. I heard about the Meal package. Is this worth it? We are planning on staying at the Polynesian hotel. Thank you!

Hi Gina!  Great choice with the Polynesian hotel!  My family is staying there on our next vacation!

There are three different dining plans that you may have heard about .  I think a dining plan is definitely worth it if you plan to eat at Walt Disney World for most or all of your meals.  It's a great way to know in advance what you'll be spending.

The first plan is the Quick Service plan.  Each family member on the plan gets a resort refillable mug, plus two snack credits and two quick service credits per day.  It's a great option if you plan to eat primarily at counter service on your vacation.  If you want to do character meals and table service meals, you'll have to pay out of pocket.

The second plan is the original dining plan.  With the original dining plan, each family member gets one snack credit, one table service credit, and one quick service credit per day.  This is the dining plan my family prefers, as it gives us a good mix of both table service and quick service meals.

The third plan is the deluxe dining plan, which provides a resort refillable mug, plus two snack credits and three meal credits per day.  The meal credits can be used on either table or counter service, although to get the best value for your money, I'd recommend trying to eat most of your meals at a table service location.

I definitely think the meal plans are worth considering.  First, take into account the type of meals you plan to eat.  If it's primarily quick service, go for that plan.  But if you plan to eat a combination of table and quick service, the original dining plan is a great option!

    Have a great vacation!
