Hello: My family and I are planning a trip to Disney next year. Our kids ages are 6 and 3. What character meet and greets are there in Magic Kingdom?

Hi there, Katie! I'm so glad you found the trail of pixie dust Tinker Bell left for you and followed it back to planDisney. We're so glad you're here!

There's nothing quite like seeing the magic of Walt Disney World Resort through your little Mouseketeers' eyes, especially when they're meeting their favorite characters! There are a few great ways to meet your favorite characters in Magic Kingdom Park: through a traditional meet-and-greet, at select attractions, and during a character meal. First, let's talk about meet-and-greets!

Katie, you'll find many character experiences in Magic Kingdom Park! At the time of this writing, you will be able to find Buzz Lightyear, Ariel, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, Cinderella and a visiting princess, Princess Tiana and a visiting princess, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Donald Duck and Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck, and of course – Mickey! The best way to see exactly which characters are available during the time of your visit will be to check the My Disney Experience app. A little like holding a magic wand in your hand, this app will help you to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. Head to the map (tap the icon second from the left on the bottom of your screen) and toggle down from "Wait Times" to "Characters." You'll be able to see which characters are available, where you can find them, and when! And if you purchase Disney Genie+ service for your family, you will even have the opportunity to select a Lightning Lane entrance for some of these experiences.

If you decide to make an advance dining reservation for a character meal, you'll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy some great food while the characters come to you! You can find the Hundred-Acre Woods characters at The Crystal Palace and some of your very favorite princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table. Be sure to have your camera and autograph book ready! You might also be interested in Enchanted Tales with Belle, which is an attraction where you step into Belle's storybook with a very special meet-and-greet at the end.

Katie, I'm wishing upon a star that your upcoming trip with your family is an extra special one! If you have any other questions, please write to us again. We're happy to help!

    Your Fairy Godmother in Planning,
