Hello! My family of 4 is heading to WDW in August. Im considering purchasing the LighteningLane Multipasses for our days at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. What are my options for photos for our days at Epcot and Animal Kingdom?

    Hey Kristy,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm sure your summer Walt Disney World vacation is shaping up nicely. You're already giving thought to purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so you're on the right track to save time in the traditional standby queue. As you know, other perks for guests who purchase Lightning Lane passes are cool Disney PhotoPass lenses and complimentary attraction photos - you'll enjoy digital downloads of select attraction photos and videos from your day.

On the days that you do not purchase Lightning Lane passes, you will not receive those attraction photos and videos as a complimentary perk, but you do have a few options. First, your attraction photos (and any other PhotoPass photos you take across the resort) are available for individual purchase. To purchase them, log in to your My Disney Experience account (I recommend doing this from your desktop), and select My Photos. Scroll to the watermarked photo you're interested in purchasing and click on it. Once you've opened the photo, you'll see a few options below it. One of those options is Photo Download. The price to download one photo will be on the right of that selection. Select that option, then click Add to PhotoPass Bag and complete your purchase.

Another option, and the one I'd recommend most is to purchase Memory Maker. This service allows you to download unlimited PhotoPass photos either from your entire vacation or from one day of your choice. In addition to attraction photos and videos, these unlimited downloads will include photos taken by PhotoPass photographers throughout the resort which are not included in the Lightning Lane service. Memory Maker allows guests to take the most memorable photos where everyone in your party can be included. PhotoPass photographers can also take those very cool Magic Shots that sprinkle a little extra Disney magic onto your photos.

Memory Maker is a must for my family every time we visit. The photos are high quality and there are over 175 great PhotoPass locations throughout the resort so you always have options. If you purchase this service at least 3 days prior to your arrival date you'll save $25. Memory Maker is pretty easy to add to an existing vacation package or to purchase as a standalone product, even after your vacation ends (just in case you wind up not committing to it beforehand and taking some beautiful family photos like I've done in the past!).

Finally, whichever option you choose, be sure to have and use your MagicBand or MagicBand+ during your visit. In addition to some other cool features, it will help with keeping up with your attraction photos as you scan into Lightning Lanes and make taking PhotoPass photos super easy and seamless. Photographers can scan your MagicBand to ensure that your photos land safely in your My Disney Experience account.

Kristy, I hope this information is helpful. If you need any additional planning help come on back! We'll see ya real soon.
