Hello, My family is very excited to have scored a reservation to the new Bon Voyage breakfast. What is the best way to use Disney transportation to get to Fort Wilderness Campground to Disney Boardwalk?

Hi Amy! Congratulations on your reservation to the new and fabulous character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. This Bon Voyage experience looks exciting and one we will be booking for my own family for our next trip.

Since my husband and I stay at Fort Wilderness all the time in our motor coach I know the transportation pretty well. Getting from resort to resort is not easy and something Disney works on all the time. If you do not have your own car and must use Disney transportation then you will have to budget a lot of time to reach your destination. I will offer some of the suggestions that are available.

My first choice would be to call for a taxi. They can do that at the front Outpost for you and that is where you would be picked up. Taxis are not allowed back into the resort. That is the quickest way and would take about 20 minutes. Your next choice is to hop on a park bus or the Magic Kingdom boat. Depending on how early your reservation is will decide which bus you would need to catch. When you reach that park you would then transfer to the Boardwalk Resort bus. As you can see this will take time and you never know when you will have to wait for a bus or just miss one. Give yourself no less then an hour to make this travel.

If you head to Hollywood Studios you can walk from that park to the Boardwalk. It is a nice walk long the water canal but it is almost a mile so it would depend on how energetic you are that morning. Another long walk would be to get off in Epcot and walk through the park to the International Gateway exit which is five minutes from the Boardwalk. But both of those options would take no less then 30-40 minutes depending on how fast you walk.

So my vote? Definitely pay for the taxi that morning and enjoy the rest of your day.
