    Hello, My family and I will be there arriving April 6 -12. This will my husbands and I 19th visit since 1990. My kids have been since they were little. How do they choose a family to part of the parade or something like that?

    Hi Denise! I believe it is everyone's dream to be a part of any of the Disney parades. A long time ago you were able to send in a request in hopes you would be chosen. My own parents were the Grand Marshals of the Magic Kingdom day parade about 30 years ago and it was indeed a special moment for them.

    Unfortunately, today it is not possible to request such an honor. Families that are chosen are done so completely at random by cast members. Obviously they are going to look for those guests who are enthusiastic and happy and many times they are chosen at the park opening. I have found that the magic will happen when you least expect it and just go the parks and plan on a great day and you never know what can happen!

    The Magic Kingdom has a street party every day at three different times. This is a great way to become part of the fun as at one point they will ask the guests to come into the street and dance with the characters. It is not an autograph session time but you will get many great pictures of the kids and their favorite character making some great moves in the street!
