Hello, My family of 6(2 adults and 4 children; ages 4,10,11,14) will be visiting WDW in May 2012. We would like to stay at the carribean resort, do they have connecting rooms? Is there any other hotel you recommend for a family of 6

    Hi!

There are connecting rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort.  It's a nice place to stay, but my favorite Disney Moderate is Port Orleans Riverside.  I especially like the theming in the Alligator Bayou section of that resort.  I also like the boat service to Downtown Disney and I enjoy dining in the Table Service restaurant there.  Caribbean Beach Resort is a little too big for my taste, though a lot of guests absolutely love it.

With a family of 6, you could stay in a Disney Deluxe Villa, but they are expensive.  If you go that route, I highly recommend the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.  Significantly less expensive are the Family Suites at Disney's All Star Music Resort.  They will hold up to 6 guests.

The last option is to get two connecting standard rooms at any resort.  If you go this route, be sure to put in a request for two connecting rooms and tell the Cast Member again at check-in.  Unfortunately, Disney typically doesn't guarantee connecting rooms; however, my family has never had a problem getting them when we needed them.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
