Hello, My daughter is coming in March for her senior trip. She will not get a magic band, can we buy memory maker in advance and link it to an older magic band if there are no tickets attached to the My Disney Experience?

Hi, Christina! To me, MagicBands are the coolest aspect of MyMagic+. These colorful devices unlock a whole new world of theme park planning. With one flick of your wrist, you can be instantly connected to your My Disney Experience account, which houses Advance Dining Reservations, FastPass+ selections, and Memory Maker. Once you have a MagicBand linked to your My Disney Experience account, it can be used during any future trips, as long as the battery lasts. The batteries usually last around two years, so as long as your daughter's is not that old, she should have no problem using it during her senior trip. Theme park tickets are not required to be in your account for the MagicBand to function.

You are welcome to purchase Memory Maker for her trip and link it to her My Disney Experience account. You should receive a Memory Maker card in the mail. The Disney PhotoPass photographers can scan this card or her MagicBand after each set of pictures and they will automagically upload to her account.

If your daughter does not have her own My Disney Experience account but is rather listed as a child on your account, then you will need to link Memory Maker to yours. Her pictures should still show up. If at any time during the trip your daughter's MagicBand is not working, the photographers can provide her with a Disney PhotoPass card, which can be scanned in much the same way as a MagicBand. Once she returns home, you can go on the website and click the Claim Pictures button. Simply key in the card's code and her pictures will be automagically linked.

I hope your daughter has a blast on her senior trip! If either of you have any questions before the trip, feel free to stop by again.
