Bright Suns, Adam! I see the Force has guided you to planDisney, the most helpful Disney vacation resource in the galaxy! Soon you’ll be exploring far-off locales, like Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, and meeting a whole cast of cosmic heroes and villains. How exciting!
I’m sorry to share this transmission, but there are not currently any Star Wars-themed hotel suites at Walt Disney World. The resort used to be home to the immersive hotel experience Star Wars: Galactic StarCruiser, but unfortunately, that closed to guests in 2023.
The good news, though, is that there is still a ton of
Star Wars experiences to be found at Walt Disney World. At Hollywood Studios you’ll find Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, an amazing land dedicated to all things Star Wars. Here you explore the Outer Rim planet of Batuu and the attractions Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in a galaxy far, far away, you won’t want to miss out on the
Droid Depot or building a lightsaber at
Savi’s Workshop. You can also grab a beverage at
Oga’s Cantina, which is more of a hive of fun and delight than scum and villainy like some other cantinas.
If you’re looking for Star Wars experiences outside of Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll find the classic attraction
Star Tours and Tatooine Traders at Hollywood Studios as well. Star Wars Launch Bay, which is currently home to numerous Star Wars character experiences and exhibits, is set to close on September 25th, but I would keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates as to where guests might be able to meet these characters in the future.
Adam, I hope this info helps with your vacation planning and that you have an absolute blast when you visit later this year. Don’t hesitate to navigate your starship right back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
May the Force be with you (or “may the spires keep you” as the locals say on Batuu)!
Matt
