Hello! Its our first trip to Disney and we will be staying at AS Music; on our day at Magic Kingdom, is it realistic to have lunch at the Grand Floridian cafe, and dinner at The wave? Are we looking at too much transportation time?

    Hi Annie,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I think your plans for your day at Walt Disney World Resort sound just wonderful! You'll be visiting Magic Kingdom Park, lunching at Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and then dining at The Wave... of American Flavors at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Your theme park destination and your dining destinations are each in the Magic Kingdom Park area. You have a few convenient and enjoyable transportation options to get yourself around to your reservations. You can use the water taxi to travel from Magic Kingdom Park to Grand Floridan. You can also use the Resort Monorail. Disney's Contemporary Resort is an easy walk from Magic Kingdom Park and is also available by way of the Resort Monorail.

Often, when we make dining reservations similar to yours, we like to get around by mixing it up. So for example, we might take the water taxi from Magic Kingdom Park to Grand Floridian, and then take the Resort Monorail back to Magic Kingdom. I always find that taking in the different transportation options makes me feel like I am really getting to see the most of Walt Disney World Resort.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
