Hi Shelby! Welcome to planDisney!
One of the best parts about purchasing Walt Disney World tickets is that they will never lose their value if they go unused. If you purchased a
single-day ticket for a date in 2021, you can apply that value toward a ticket to use in 2022. Your best option will be to
call the Existing Ticket line at the Walt Disney World Resort and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. If the cost of the new ticket is higher, you will need to pay the price difference to complete the purchase. One thing to mention is if your ticket was a multi-day park ticket and a portion of it was used in 2021, these tickets do expire a select amount of days after they are first used. Any remaining park days that went unused have already expired. You'll need to purchase a new park ticket for your future visit.
Once you have your park ticket secured, you'll need to make a
park reservation for the park you want to visit on a specific date. I just took a look at the
park availability calendar for this month, and if you plan to visit a park on June 22nd, park availability is already becoming limited. I suggest sorting this out as quickly as possible to ensure you can visit the park you were hoping to. If your ticket has the
park hopper option added, you'll be able to visit any of the remaining three theme parks starting at 2 PM after visiting the first park you made a reservation for.
Shelby, I'm excited about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World! There have been so many recent additions to the parks that it is hard to keep up. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind just opened up last month at EPCOT to amazing reviews from many Guests. A few of my fellow planDisney panelists had a chance to ride it and they have been talking about the experience ever since. I'm hoping to get a chance in the near future to check it out for myself. Also, if you find yourself in EPCOT, head back to the Germany Pavilion in the World Showcase to try the new
Pretzel Bread Pudding found at Sommerfest. It's a mix of salty and sweet that I promise is worth every single bite!
Have a magical day!
Greg
