Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is truly stunning. It's amazing how it feels as though you're right in the middle of the savanna, surrounded by peaceful wildlife. It's really the perfect escape from the theme parks.
I see you have a question about making a special request regarding the location of your resort room. You'll be happy to know you can request a ground-level room either when booking on the
official Disney World website or if you've already made your reservation by
calling Disney directly so a Cast Member can add the request for you. I recommend submitting your request as soon as possible, as room requests are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you happen to be assigned a room that isn't on the ground floor, don't worry. There are conveniently located stairways throughout the property.
Bonus tip: Don't miss breakfast at
Boma – Flavors of Africa! It's a personal favorite of mine, with a buffet brimming with delicious choices. Even the pickiest eaters will find something to love. Be sure to arrive hungry!
