Hello, Is it possible to have an email address for ‘Ohanas please? We have booked breakfast and would like to inform the restaurant that it will be a party members birthday Many Thanks

Hi there, Leanne, and welcome to planDisney!

Last year, my husband and son had a dual birthday celebration at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort's 'Ohana. It was an oh-so-magical Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch! I am more than happy to help you make sure that your party member's birthday is known to the Cast Members who will serve you during your visit.

While there is no email address to use to let the Cast Members know about your special Guest's big day, you do have a couple of options. You could call the Walt Disney Travel Company directly using the phone number listed on this Contact Us webpage. The friendly Cast Member may be able to make a note of the birthday on your advance dining reservation. However, the surest way to inform the staff is to log in to the My Disney Experience App to use its Mobile Check-In (up to 15 minutes before your reservation time). When it prompts you, select that you are celebrating a birthday in the app. If you'd rather not do Mobile Check-In, simply tell a Cast Member at the check-in area near the entrance of 'Ohana on the second floor. For my boys' birthday, they were each given a special treat at our table to commemorate the day, but the birthday recognition can vary.

By the way, you can also pre-order a Mickey Mouse celebration cake (they're delicious!) to make the most out of your visit. This paid option can be added when booking your reservation or in the My Disney Experience App. If you are on property at least 4 days before your reservation, you can also place an order at 'Ohana's host podium. There is a limited quantity of these fun cakes available on the day-of your meal. At the end of your meal, a Cast Member can bring this cake out to your party--it's big enough to share!

AN EXTRA GEM: I strongly recommend that before your character breakfast or while you're waiting to be seated, visit a nearby merchandise shop or the Polynesian's front desk to get a complimentary birthday celebration button. If the birthday friend wears the button, it's a great reminder to the Cast Member that it's their special day--and your party member will get "happy birthday" wishes from fellow Guests and Cast Members throughout the entire day.

Leanne, I'm sending you all so much pixie dust! I hope that your friend has a lovely birthday. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation, revisit us here at planDisney.

    Magic always,
    LeAndra
