Ahoy, Katrina!
In no time, you'll be feeling the sand between your toes on Castaway Cay, swinging with the band in Tiana's Place, and marveling at the engineering of the Panama Canal. My family has enjoyed several cruises aboard the Disney Wonder, including two times from San Diego. We have loved combining these cruises with a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Disney Cruise Line offers transfers from the cruise terminal to the airport in San Diego. Unfortunately, transfers to the Disneyland Resort area are not offered. Multiple
alternatives are available.
Bus: The Greyhound bus terminal is about a two-mile taxi or rideshare drive away from the San Diego cruise ship terminal. The bus ride to the Anaheim bus terminal is over two hours. Travel from there to Disneyland Resort can be done by taxi, rideshare, or public bus.
Train: The Amtrak station is a short half-mile walk or rideshare from the cruise terminal. The Pacific Surfliner offers scenic ocean views to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center. The remaining four miles to Disneyland Resort can be completed by taxi, rideshare, or public bus, including Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART).
Car: This is by far the most flexible and
quickest way to travel from San Diego to the Disneyland Resort. Car rental companies are located across the street from the San Diego International Airport, which is a two-mile transfer from the cruise terminal. From there the Disneyland Resort is a 90-minute drive along Interstate 5. On a typical Sunday morning drive you will find generally favorable traffic.
You may check with providers for schedules and availability.
Bon voyage, Katrina!
