James from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello, I’m trying to reserve a nice lunch for 12 people on October 18th at around 1pm. Nothing is available it seems. Both Disneyland or downtown Disney. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi James! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to send us your question!

I always say the more the merrier when visiting The Happiest Place on Earth! I know it can be challenging to make Advanced Dining Reservations with a larger group, so let's talk about how you can do this. When I have a larger dining party, I enlist the help of someone else in the group to make dining reservations. In your situation, I recommend asking at least one other person, and maybe even two people, to help you. When searching for dining reservations, you will likely have more success with your search if you choose a dining party of four or six. It is best if the dining reservation times for your smaller groups are at the same time or within 15 minutes of each other. Once you arrive at the dining location, I suggest checking in together at the same time and asking a Cast Member for assistance in seating all your reservations together. In my experience, Cast Members will do their best to make your request happen.

If by chance you don't have success making the dining reservations you're wishing for before you arrive, you can try joining a walk-up list using the Disneyland Mobile App. You can also use the app to view menus for dining locations. If you have more questions before you arrive, please feel free to send them to us at planDisney. We're all ears, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
