Hello, I'm thinking of taking a cruise on the Dream, but I'm a little worried about the kids club. I have two boys ages 13 & 9 that are very close. Can the 13 year old play in the Oceaneer club with his younger brother? Thanks

    Ahoy, Lakisha!

I'm happy to hear you're considering a family vacation on the beautiful Disney Dream. It's a gorgeous ship, and your days will be filled with fun activities, incredible dining, and personalized customer service!

When it comes to the Youth Clubs, I can't say enough great things about them! My kids have enjoyed every club from the nursery all the way up to the teen club. They can't get enough of the awesome activities and attentive Youth Counselors, and neither can I! It's nice to know my kids are having fun and are well taken care of while my husband and I explore the ship on our own.

The age breakdown for the Youth Clubs is as follows:

    Disney's Oceaneer Club/Lab - Ages 3-12
Edge - Ages 11-14 (10 year olds may participate with signed consent from parent or guardian after discussing options with counselors onboard)
Vibe - Ages 14 - 17 (13 year olds may participate with signed consent from parent or guardian after discussing options with counselors onboard)

Since your boys ages don't fall at a borderline cutoff age, they would probably not be able to go to the same Youth Club. My kids would love to be together, but the activities geared to the specific age groups they fall in are either too "young" for my oldest or too "old" for my youngest. While they enjoy spending time with each other at the pool, seeing a movie, and other activities around the ship, when it comes to the clubs they are fine to split up and spend time with other kids in their age group for a while. The Youth Counselors are great at making sure that each and every guest has the time of their life, and that they are entertained and engaged while in their care.

I encourage you to visit Open House at the Youth Clubs on your first afternoon onboard to get an overview of all the fun things happening during your sailing!

I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
