Hello Im taking my 2 year old son for his 3rd birthday to WDW. He will be turning 3 in the middle of our stay, so will I have to buy him a park ticket? On his first day into the park he will be 2. Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi Helen,

Good news! Walt Disney World considers your age on the first day of your visit to be your age throughout your stay. So for ticket and dining purposes, your son will remain 2, even as he celebrates his third birthday.

Make sure you get him a free birthday button at Guest Relations in any theme park or resort hotel. It's fun to have cast members and other guests extend their birthday greetings. And though there are no guarantees, the birthday boy may even get a magical surprise along the way.

Wishing you a magical visit during your son's birthday week!
