Hello I’m taking my 7 year old niece to WDW for 2 days. She has an annual pass but it has blockout dates, so I bought her a 2 day base ticket (1 park per day). I was able to link her to my Disney Experince App. Do I need to do anything else?

Why hello, Mariana. Welcome to planDisney. I always love to make new friends!

I have to start out by saying that you are my type of person. Taking your niece to the Walt Disney World Resort is so very special and I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful 2 days at the theme parks. My niece and nephew are incredibly important to me and I've been to the resort with them twice so far and each experience holds a special place in my heart. They don't know it yet, but there's a strong possibility my husband and I are taking them in the summer of 2025. Fingers crossed it all works out, especially because starting in 2025, Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel can enjoy whichever water park is available on their check-in day...included with their stay! Now that's a great perk and I just know they'd love it!

If you have purchased date-based tickets, meaning you chose the dates on a calendar when purchasing them, your niece is connected to you through your My Disney Experience account, and you can see her tickets in your My Disney Experience mobile app, you should be all set to go as far as getting into the parks! You'll just want to determine how she will go about tapping into the theme parks. If she has an active MagicBand connected to her account, she can use that. Otherwise, you can set up a Disney MagicMobile Pass through the Disney MagicMobile Service on your phone to scan in for her or you can ask for a card at a Guest Relations location outside of the theme parks. Just make sure you have identification and the credit card that you used to purchase the tickets.

As far as anything else, you'll want to chat with your niece about her must-do activities. It sounds like she's been to the resort before, but seeing as there is so much to do at the resort and you can't see it all, you may want to discuss what attractions and experiences you both want to enjoy together. And, most importantly (well, to me, anyway), you'll want to decide where you're going to eat! That's what I'm most excited about when planning a vacation to the resort.

Mariana, I wish you a very special trip with your niece. She's lucky to have you...and I'm sure you feel the same. Make all the magical memories because they'll stay forever in both of your hearts.

If you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer them!

Live the moment and love the memory,
    Matt
