Hello Adel!
Welcome to planDisney! You are in such a wonderful position with a fun countdown ahead of you. Planning is very important with a Walt Disney World vacation and I'm glad that you are figuring it all out now.
In regards to purchasing
tickets, you can buy them whenever you are ready to purchase them- as long as they are available! Your flexibility is possible because as of January 9, 2024,
no theme park reservation is required for date-based tickets which will include any vacation packages or date-based multi-day tickets which tend to be how the 7 and 14-Day Magic Tickets work. Purchasing the tickets does not mean they are active right away as you select at the time of purchase the first day you will begin using your ticket which can be months away! Then you are provided a long period to use it completely. For example, a 14-Day Magic Ticket usually gives the guest 18 days to fully use the ticket. I do want to note that it also helps to buy them sooner rather than later in case prices go up in any way. Secure the best deal now and it will still be valid when you arrive.
Another advantage of purchasing them early is ensuring that your plans are solidly set and letting you begin preparing for the days you wish to spend in the Parks. FYI: The booking of
dining reservations can begin happening 60 days before your arrival but it doesn't require a Park ticket to be in place. Sometimes how many dining reservations I was able to successfully get determines how many days in the Parks I would want. Yes, I do plan my days around food but it's not shameful when the food is just that good. I will re-route my entire trip for a taste of the bread service at
Sanaa or the rolls at
The BOATHOUSE®: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats™. Yes, I do enjoy my bread and I promise you probably will enjoy it too!
I hope this helps and you have a magical time next year! If you have any more questions please feel free to
let me know!
Happy Planning!
