Ahoy, James!
I'm so happy to hear you're planning a voyage on the gorgeous
Disney Dream. We've sailed on the Dream several times, and we love all there is to see and do onboard!
Dining onboard a Disney ship is nothing short of amazing. The food is incredible, and the service unmatched. With Rotational Dining, you'll get a chance to dine in each of the Dream's three themed Main Dining venues, and your serving team will rotate with you. I love having the same servers each evening, as they learn our preferences and tastes, and they truly help to create a memorable dining experience!
Smaller parties are often seated with other small parties in the dining room, with traveling parties that are similar (children that are the same age, or couples cruising without kids). While we've shared tables with other guests on several occasions, as our kids have gotten older, we've found that we prefer not to share a table at meals (if possible). It's not that we're antisocial, or don't want to make friends onboard, but with busy schedules at home, we really enjoy our together time on a Disney Cruise vacation!
The Disney Cruise Line Dining Team is very accommodating of special requests, and will do their best to provide you with a private table if you ask. If you book your cruise through an Authorized Disney Travel Planner, simply ask them to request a private table when they make your reservation. You can also call Disney Cruise Line directly at (800)951-3532 to have your request noted on your reservation.
I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
