Hello! I'll be arriving at Disney World on Jan. 2. I'm wondering if the Christmas decorations at the Fort Wilderness camp ground will still be up at that time. Will the resorts still have their decorations up? Thank you!

Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carole! I’m so glad to hEAR of your return. I had the great pleasure of basking in the “leftover” Christmas decor as the parks emerged from the holiday season in the first week of 2018.

I noticed that the decorations were in full splendor on January 2nd, and as the racers for the Walt Disney World Resort Marathon Weekend arrived, the decor slowly started to be tucked away. First, it was the Resort swags and small pieces. Next, it was the Resort trees and by about January 5th, it had all been neatly packed away for next season. I did notice that Magic Kingdom’s festive boughs lasted until the 7th. I hope that you can tour around Walt Disney World Resort during the early days of your vacation and you’ll be able to see most of the holiday habiliments before they are taken down.

If I can help you find any other gorgeous festivities around the Resort, please let me know. Fort Wilderness Campground is known for its golf cart decor by festive guests. I’ll see ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
