Hello: If I purchase a Magic Key today (on a payment plan), can I delay the start/end dates until later in the year? Or are the start/end dates based on purchase dates? Thanks for the help!

    Hey there, hi there, Patricia!

You're as welcome as can be to planDisney. And it seems I could soon welcome you to the ranks of Magic Key holders like me too.

Great news! When you purchase a new Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass, you have up to twelve months to activate that pass. The date of activation determines the period of validity for that pass, including the expiration date one year after the activation date. A pass is activated by using it to enter one of the theme parks based on that park reservation. (Note: a theme park reservation is also required for park entrance) Or a pass that has standard theme park parking included with it (such as the Inspire Key) may also be activated by using that parking entitlement. Note that your payment plan contract will continue according to its original terms, regardless of the date of activation of your pass, including the requirement to make monthly payments.

I hope you don't wait too long to activate your Disneyland Resort Magic Key purchase, Patricia. There's a lot of magic going on at the Disneyland Resort right now. Disneyland Resort's 70th Anniversary Celebration is among the best I've experienced, and it keeps getting better!

I hope to see ya real soon, Patricia!
