Boo to you, Melissa, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for reminding me that my all-time favorite after-hours event,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, is just around the corner. The costumes, the trick-or-treating, and the nighttime spectaculars make it a must-do for my little family every year! The only thing that could make it even ghoul-er...I mean, cooler? A delicious meal before the festivities commence. I am more than happy to help you iron out this super-important detail.
Although you do not need a valid theme park ticket and
park reservation to make an advance dining reservation, you will need them by the time the big day arrives. Unfortunately, a dining reservation alone is not enough to enter
Magic Kingdom Park (and the other theme parks). So, I recommend that you secure a dining reservation for after your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket entry time.
AN EXTRA GEM: Also, keep in mind that it takes "a while" to get to Magic Kingdom Park if you're coming from the
Transportation and Ticket Center via the Disney Monorail or ferry. Even if you're staying on the property and are arriving via a walkway or bus, you'll want to make your dining reservation at least 15-30 minutes after 4 p.m. to be sure to not miss dinner time.
By the time you've finished eating, it will be close to party time! You'll find Cast Members in designated areas around the theme park to issue your special party wristbands (if you didn't already get them when you entered the park). These indicate that you're a party guest of Mickey's.
You are going to have the most spooktacular visit, Melissa! If you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
