Hey there Luis, and welcome to planDisney!
A few years ago I had the same question when I had the opportunity to
purchase a new Annual Pass: if I used an alternate form of theme park admission to visit during
a blocked out date on the Admission Calendar, I wondered whether the unlimited
Disney PhotoPass Downloads that I purchased as an Annual Pass Add-on still apply.
When I inquired with the
Cast Members at Guest Relations, they shared with me the following: "
Disney PhotoPass® add-on for Annual Passes includes Disney PhotoPass® photos and other digital content linked to the Guest’s Disney account and captured while the Annual Pass is valid for admission to a Disney Parks theme park." Though this did indicate that the benefit would remain linked to the account until the expiry of the Annual Pass, it wasn't quite as clear whether one had to necessarily enter a theme park using the Annual Pass itself in order for this to work.
We decided to test this out in person, and you'll be happy to hear that across several visits to the theme parks without using my Annual Pass to enter, the photos that I've taken were still successfully linked to the account; sure enough when opening the
My Disney Experience app there were ready to download. (In my opinion this definitely makes sense, as it should be the same as requesting a PhotoPass card from one of the photographers to later link to your account.)
Speaking of the app, you'll want to keep an eye on
The Passholder Buzz in order to take advantage of the latest perks, deals and discounts available to us - as well as the exclusive treats and trinkets released throughout the year. Don't forget to stay updated with the
Disney Parks Blog with all of the latest and greatest news, so that you can be the first to enjoy new experiences and really make the most of being an Annual Passholder!
May all of your upcoming visits end up being absolutely picture-perfect!
