Hi Eric!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation in April is just around the riverbend, so let's dive into your question.
First of all, you have the BEST. AUNT. EVER. for scoring an
Advanced Dining Reservation at
Topolino's Terrace--Flavors of the Riviera! Seeing Mickey & Friends for Breakfast à la Art is such a fun experience! And if you're headed there for dinner instead, you won't be disappointed with the more upscale cuisine. It's one of my favorite places on property to spend a nice evening taking in the view of the Resort from the rooftop.
I have great news for you, Eric! If your aunt makes the dining reservation, but won't be in attendance, you should have no problem using the reservation or getting through security. I recommend that she adds you to her
"Family & Friends" list on her
My Disney Experience account. Then, when she makes the dining reservation, ask her to identify each Guest who will be in attendance. This way, if security at
Disney's Riviera Resort asks for more proof that you have a dining reservation, you'll be able to show the reservation with your own name on it. Have a photo ID handy as well.
AN EXTRA GEM: Also, I recommend that the amount of Guests in the party's dining reservation reflect the actual number of people who are dining at the restaurant. Usually it isn't a problem if there's only one Guest fewer than expected (like your aunt in this scenario), but I would do this to be on the safe side.
Eric, I think that your family is going to have an awesome time! If you think of any other questions as you gear up for your adventure, please don't hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
