Hello! I wanted to wear blue blouse with a blue and god corset and a gold skirt as a Disneybound outfit to Disney World. Is this within Disney dress code?

    Hiya Allison!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your DisneyBounding question. My family and I love to embrace the magic with our outfits when we visit the most magical place on Earth! From matching family shirts to DisneyBounding as our favorite princesses, we always add a little pixie dust to our park days. And of course, I can’t forget my collection of ears—I’ve got a pair to match every single outfit!

Now, let’s talk about your question! Disney has official dress code guidelines to keep the magic flowing smoothly for everyone. Here are the basics:

    • Costumes are for kids (and special events): Guests over 14 years old can’t wear costumes in the parks unless it’s a special event like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or a runDisney race.
    • Keep it safe and family-friendly: Outfits can’t drag on the ground, feature offensive language or imagery, or reveal too much. The goal is to ensure a magical experience for all.
    • DisneyBounding is fair game: While full costumes aren’t allowed, DisneyBounding—dressing in everyday outfits inspired by Disney characters—is a fantastic way to pay homage to your favorites. Whether you channel Belle with a yellow dress and a rose pin or give a nod to Mickey with red shorts, a black top, and yellow shoes, the possibilities are endless. It’s like stepping into a storybook with your own unique flair!
    • Here are some other practical tips for the parks: From personal experience, I can’t stress enough how important comfortable shoes are. You might walk over 20,000 steps exploring the parks! Living in Florida, I also recommend packing sunscreen and a poncho or light raincoat—Tía Pepa has been known to send a little rain magic when you least expect it.
DisneyBounding is such a fun way to add even more magic to your park visit. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    See you real soon,
