Hi there, Megan!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so happy you sailed by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. I hope you and your family are ready for a boatload of fun during your adventure at sea…and if not, get ready! Because from the moment you set foot onboard the fun begins!
Guests do not need to bring car seats for use on the motor coaches when using Disney Cruise Line’s ground transfers from Orlando International Airport. Instead, just plan to keep your littles on your lap for the transfer from the airport to Port Canaveral. Believe me, this will save you lots of time and give you a lot more space in your stateroom since you won’t have to store them once onboard. I do however recommend bringing a stroller for any littles who might benefit from that – and mom and dad will benefit too! The strollers are not only handy at port, but onboard! When my boys were younger, we found ourselves thankful we had the strollers on more than one occasion onboard when we were trying to get from one activity to the next and our littles weren’t having it! Stroller to the rescue! If possible, bring an umbrella type stroller as they are easier to navigate in the hallways to the staterooms and it will easily stow underneath the bed in your stateroom.
Disney Cruise Line makes
traveling with little ones so fun and so enjoyable for all! Be sure to take advantage of the activities and special spaces geared towards the age(s) of your littles because you will find there will be something for every age onboard.
Wishing you a magical cruise with many memories made!
Happy Sailing!
