Kimberly from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello, I have upcoming reservations with the Disneyland Resort Heroes ticket. Our plans have changed. Is there any possible way for me to pay a ticket upgrade using the Heroes ticket to be able to visit the resort on a Sunday? Thank you, Kim

    Hi Kimberly!

First and foremost, thank you for your tremendous service during the wildfires in Los Angeles. We are so inspired and grateful to the first responder community, and glad you stopped by with your question, so we can help guide you to the magic with your Heroes Tickets.

With your park day just a week away, let's take a look at your question. Eligible Guests received two Heroes Tickets, one-day Park Hopper tickets valid for use Monday through Thursday between May 5 - August 7, 2025. I spoke with a Cast Member who informed me that, unfortunately, the Heroes Tickets are not eligible for upgrades. I know that was not the news you were hoping to hear! If you have specific questions around your account and tickets, I'd recommend calling Guest Services directly, as they have a bit more magic and can see behind the curtain into your account. I do like to remind Guests with Heroes Tickets that they will need to make a theme park reservation, which it sounds like you've already done - hooray! Don't forget to bring along a valid department-issued identification card or badge as well as Cast Members will ask to see that at the Main Entrance Gate.

While I can't wave a magic wand to clear you for a Sunday visit, if you need to change your reservation to an alternate weekday (Monday through Thursday), you should be able to do that easily in the Disneyland App. Simply head to the "+" in the bottom navigation bar, select "Make a Park Reservation", followed by "Make or Modify Park Reservations", and follow the instructions from there.

I do hope you are able to find a new date to explore the magic, Kimberly! Once you get a date locked in, I recommend taking a look at the Entertainment Schedule, which is chock-full of 70th Anniversary celebratory experiences! With your Park Hopper, you will be able to take advantage of offerings in both Disneyland and California Adventure, so you'll want to earmark a few must-see spectaculars like the Paint the Night parade and World of Color Happiness!, to name a few!

While I know you were hoping for different news, I do hope this has been helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney

    Wishing you an unforgettable visit!
