Hello I understand we have to prebook Parks when we come in October. Waiting for the My Disney Experience to link to my reservation - but my question is that we choose parks when we know magic hours and MNSSHP nights. Are those available far ahead? Emma x

    Hi Emma!

    Welcome to planDisney!

It is always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK, and I am so happy to see that you have a holiday booked for October next year.  It is never too early to start planning!

We are experiencing an ever-changing situation at Walt Disney World Resort, and some events, tours, live entertainment and shows are temporarily suspended.  This includes (for 2020) Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and we do not yet know if these will return for 2021.  Extra Magic Hours (which were available exclusively to Disney Resort hotel guests) are also paused for now.  However, as all four theme parks are now operating on limited capacity with Guests making their Disney Park Pass reservations to secure entry, crowd levels are not excessive.  FastPass+ is also suspended for now, but if you arrive as early as possible at the parks you should be able to experience many attractions without the need for forward-planning.

I would definitely recommend that you go ahead and make your Disney Park Pass reservations at your earliest opportunity, once your park admission tickets have been linked to your My Disney Experience account.  We don't know if the special events or Extra Magic Hours will be brought back for next year, but you can always cancel your Disney Park Passes and re-book another park if you wish to (subject to availability).  In previous years, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets have gone on sale around April, but this could all be different next year.  For guests from the UK, when special events are taking place again, tickets can be purchased by calling freephone UK number 0800 085 0582.  Disney Park Passes can be reserved through to 14th January 2022, and you can see availability here.

We may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our holidays to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Parks and Tickets: Know Before You Go, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.

Please come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your holiday.
