Hello there, Amy. A very warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you. I'm very excited to hear that you are planning to visit the Disneyland Resort around one of my favorite celebrations (May the Fourth) and I'm thrilled to help.
I was lucky enough to attend
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite a couple of years ago and had the best time. It was so fun to see Guests dressed in fashions that were out of this world as well as running into some pretty rare characters around the park. I think my favorite was running into the nicest protocol droid in the galaxy, C-3PO.
The theme parks should be operating on regular park hours on the nights when the special event is not taking place. Of course, this is always subject to change and your best bet would be to check the
park hours on the Disneyland site as you get closer to your visit. While we haven't received official word or confirmation that this special event will return next year (I really hope it does), we can keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for any information as we get closer.
In fact, I recently did a little research and found that the announcement for this year's Star Wars Nite was
made on Disney Parks Blog in mid-February. Tickets officially went on sale shortly thereafter on February 23rd. If you aren't already, I also recommend following
@disneyparks on Instagram as the announcement was shared there too.
I hope this helps, Amy. I really hope that you are able to secure tickets to this wonderful special event and this information helps you prepare. If you think of any other questions as you are planning your magical visit, please come back to ask us. Until then, I wish you happy planning and may the Force be with you.
Michelle
