Hey there, Ashley! Happy you found your way to planDisney with your question. You are going to love heading into the parks in early January, just after the holidays have waved their farewell. With the hustle and bustle of the season settling down, this time of year is usually a bit quieter, which can make for some extra room as you move about the parks!
While
theme park reservations can open up as early as 120 days ahead of time, this is not a hard date and sometimes the calendar reveals itself a bit later. We've had a lot of Guests asking very similar questions as they are trying to get their January trips in place. My best guess is that the calendar will open up very soon! I would set an alert for yourself to give the
theme park reservation calendar a peek every morning just to see if those dates have appeared. The good news is that if it's not open for you, it's not open for other Guests as well so no one is filling up the availability. I'm sure you're eager to get your plans in place, and I am hopeful you will secure those reservations, especially since you are looking to book early!
With the calm of January also comes possible adjustments to the
Park Hours and
Entertainment Schedule as the park transitions from the busy season. When you are starting to map out your days, I like to recommend taking a look at both, which are typically released about six weeks ahead of time. This will ensure that there are no surprises when you arrive if there's something you have your heart set on! Trust me, there will still be plenty of magic to explore!
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the
@DISNEYLAND Instagram account and
Disney Parks Blog as this is where news breaks first on any upcoming plans and even fun promotions! As someone that lives in Philadelphia, I like to just keep up on the latest news and get excited about future trips!
Ashley, I hope this was helpful! We are always here for you at
planDisney if you have any more questions. You're in for some magic, I just know it!
Never stop dreaming,
Tara
