Hey Howdy Hey Austin and welcome to planDisney!
I feel your pain when it comes to not being able to get those difficult
advanced dining reservations. With as many people that have been going to Walt Disney World Resort recently, the reservations have been even harder to come by. Don't worry, I have some ideas you can keep checking and hopefully you can get at least a few of the reservations.
The easiest and quickest way to check on reservations throughout the parks and resorts is with your
My Disney Experience app. I have found it easiest to tap the search icon and search for the dining location I wanted and then plug in your information to check on reservations. I have had better luck selecting the specific time windows rather than a general "Luch" time selection. I would recommend doing this daily and multiple times per day as plans change with everyone and times do open up. Eating at off times, such as lunch at 2:00 p.m. EST, would be a little easier to get so keep that in mind as well. Whatever reservation time you can get, book them! You can always go back later to try and modify your reservation for a different time.
If you still are not able to get a reservation before your trip, you still have options. In many locations, you can put yourself on a "Walk-Up List" from your My Disney Experience app as well. This will give you an approximate wait time for the location and is another option for the day of.
Although sit-down meals are really nice at times to relax and enjoy a meal if you are not able to get these reservations Hakuna Matata Austin, this gives you a different way to enjoy a meal and the parks. Rather than spending valuable park time tied up for a meal, it is so easy to piece one together, enjoy and get back to experiencing the attractions you want! With
Mobile Order in Magic Kingdom, for example, you can Mobile Order a
hot dog from Casey's Corner while waiting for a Spring Roll from the cart in Adventure Land, unless they move it, eat in the Rose Garden in front of Cinderella Castle and then MobileOrder a
Dole Whip from Aloha Isle and enjoy it while walking to Jungle Cruise or Pirate's of the Caribbean. That is the one great thing about the variety of offerings throughout the parks and gives you more of an opportunity to try many different things having minimal wait times with Mobile Order. This is something our family now really enjoys rather than sit-down meals but is just another option of touring the parks.
I hope this helps make this process a little easier and good luck getting the reservations you are looking for. If you have any further questions let us know, we are happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
