Hello! I am staying at the Pixar Place Hotel on Sunday the 15! Will there an opportunity to meet Pixar characters around the hotel? Wall-E becoming a dream if meeting? Thank you!

Greetings, Joey, and welcome to planDisney! You're in for a real treat – the Pixar Place Hotel is a colorful, whimsical, fun place to stay. Let's talk about what you can look forward to during your upcoming visit.

At Pixar Place Hotel, you may encounter Joe Gardner from "Soul" playing the piano in the lobby or Bing Bong from "Inside Out" greeting Guests. There have, at times, been other Characters who have stopped by, like Dug from "Up." However, information is not typically available in advance, and offerings are subject to change. When you arrive at the hotel, ask the Front Desk for a schedule of activities for Resort hotel Guests, as well as details about when Pixar pals may visit.

WALL-E did make a limited appearance at the Pixar Place Hotel last year on Earth Day – check out the video on the Disneyland Instagram account! Nothing has been announced regarding upcoming visits, though. You can always wish upon a star!

Did you know there's a store at the hotel, called STOR-E, with a name playfully inspired by WALL-E? It's convenient if you need to pick up snacks, sunscreen, water, clothing, swim gear, souvenirs, or other items. The Sketch Pad Café is right across from there, and it's perfect if you want to enjoy a specialty coffee drink before heading into the parks or to the Downtown Disney District.

You'll find more nods to WALL-E and other Pixar films throughout the hotel, such as the art behind the Front Desk and the abstract mobile in the lobby. The thoughtful details extend to the rooms, too – my favorites are the Luxo Jr. desktop lamp and the Pixar Ball pillow.

The standout feature of this hotel, in my opinion, is the rooftop deck, which features a pool, splash pad, large waterslide, interactive games, themed fire pits, and an open grassy area. On nights when Disneyland has fireworks, you can even watch them from the deck as the soundtrack is simulcast through the speakers. There's something special about being able to easily walk back to the room (and cozy bed) right after the show, especially with young kids.

Joey, I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of adventure, fun, and excitement. Once you arrive at the hotel, the Front Desk would be happy to assist you with any questions you might have, including those about Character appearances. Of course, we're always happy to help here at planDisney, too. Reach out anytime!

    Your pal,
    Kriss
