Hello, I am a single mom traveling with my two girls ages 9 and 12 Nov 14-19 , Pop with dining (1 table 1 counter). Can you propose a good itinerary with a 6 day pass? Where to begin? Must stick to basic parks/character dining and no time for waterparks.

    Hi Catherine!

First,a big congratulations on your 1st visit to Walt Disney World, lots of magical memories are waiting for you!  With so many activities, attractions and dining options, planning your first vacation to Disney World can be a daunting task.Luckily, we are always here to help!

Once I have my dates selected, I first plan what park we will be visiting on which day. Then plan my dining reservations and other activities based on the area I will be visiting that day.I suggest avoiding Extra Magic Hours, especially morning hours, the parks on those days tend to be a lot more crowded.I also suggest taking at least a half a day off from the parks to hang by the pool and recharge your batteries.Based on the dates that you will be traveling here are my suggestions:

    November 14th Animal Kingdom 9am-5pm
    November 16th Magic Kingdom 9am-7pm
November 17th Day off or Hollywood Studios 8am-8pm (Extra Magic Hours Morning)
    November 18th Hollywood Studios 9am-8pm
    November 19th Magic Kingdom 9am-9pm

Several dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party coincide during your stay, held on select nights this is a spectacular Christmas party which I do recommend attending if your budget allows. The Magic Kingdom will close earlier on those nights and there will not be an evening showing of the nightly firework show Wishes. While I have you visiting the Magic Kingdom again on your last day, you may want to alter your schedule to visit the Magic Kingdom again one evening to see this amazing firework show.

Now that you have a schedule I would begin to plan your dining reservations based on which park you will be visiting on which day.I highly recommend that you book your dining as soon as possible.  Many restaurants, especially character dining, will book up months in advance. Please visit me again if you need any help with making your dining reservations.

    Have a magical vacation!
