Hello, I will be running my first runDisney race this coming November for wine and dine and was wondering if we are allowed to bring a guest. My grandmother and I are both Passholders but she will not be participating. Is there a place she can sit and wait

    Hi Maria!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I never considered myself a runner until I started participating in runDisney races. You see, I never really had the motivation to run. I live in a cold area and find running on a treadmill to be quite dull.  I’m honestly still not a runner, but now I train to runDisney! These races are super fun to be a part of, and my most favorite part of these races is being surrounded by runners of all abilities and watching them chEAR each other on!

This year the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is Villain themed. I can’t wait to see which Villians are going to be on the course for photo opportunities. One of my favorite things to participate in for this particular race weekend is the Post-Race Party, which takes place on November 8, 2020. Family and friends are also invited to this party at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. With plenty of food choices and fun entertainment, this event is not to be missed!

I think it’s fantastic that your grandmother is going to be there to cheer you on! If she is looking to be immersed in the fun and also have a place to hang out, there is an excellent package available to purchase called the runDisney ChEAR Squad. This is available for both the 10K and Half Marathon. With the purchase, Grandma will receive a runDisney 4 – in- 1 Fleece Blanket, ChEAR Squad Cowbell, and Fan. She also will have access to Reserved grandstand seating (first-come, first-served) and hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages and a designated restroom area. I think that this is the best and most comfortable way to be a spectator.

I hope you enjoy running across the finish line as much as I do!
