hello, i have a reservation for dinner at the contemporary and its my sons third birthday. do the restaurants do anything without prior calling

A Happy UNbirthday to you, Nicole! Your son’s big day will be a ton of fun! There are a few thing you can do in advance of the dining reservation, and your vacation in general, that will add more excitement.

Of course, if you just came to the restaurant and mentioned to the Cast Members that you had a birthday at your table, you may find a special dessert, song, or a wish. Adding your son’s birthday to your reservation by calling (407) 939-1936 may add special birthday wishes all along your trip! Many table service restaurants will bring out a special birthday cupcake, but I have seen wonderful troupes of Cast Members at Sunshine Seasons cheering and singing for guests during weekday lunches. All sorts of wonderful things can happen.

When you check into your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, ask for a birthday button to wear for your son. Write his name on the button with a sharpie and cover it with a bit of scotch tape for lasting power, and have him wear it every day for pixie dusted days. You and your family can don “I’m Celebrating” buttons, too. There’s fun for all. If you have more questions, please let us know. ~ Lindsey P.
