Hi there, Anna!
Welcome to planDisney—and to Florida! The Sunshine State is my home, too, so I would love to point you in the right direction. You’ll have the keys to the Kingdom in no time!
As a Central Florida native, I don’t stay on property often. Please don’t let that deter you from visiting the theme parks. If you visit the
Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts webpage, you’ll find the latest theme park ticket deals. The current promotions for Florida residents are the 4-Day Summer Magic Ticket and the 2-Day Park Explorer Ticket; however, that deal will be over by November. Keep an eye on that page to see if any special pops up that works better for your availability.
Once you do find a Florida Resident theme park ticket or decide to purchase a Florida Resident
annual pass (there are monthly payments available for us), you will need to
prove Florida residency. You will need one of the following in order to prove your new residency:
-Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
-Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
-Valid Florida-based military ID
You can also show Guest Relations another photo ID along with a proof of an in-state mortgage, utility bill, insurance policy, or even mail from a financial institution or government agency. When I purchased one of my family members’ annual pass this year, I liked that I can now prove our residency by filling out the "Your Florida Resident Information" form online.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you join the Walt Disney World Annual Passholders family, you’ll benefit from a lot of various perks! I love that I get a discount on select food and merchandise around property. And in some months, the discount increases. Also, as an Annual Passholder, your theme park parking is included.
Anna, if you have any other questions about your upcoming trips to Walt Disney World Resort, please
ask us here at planDisney. I hope that you find joy in being so close to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Magic always,
LeAndra
